GSO Application Team Meets
March 12, 2010 in Google Fiber by Ross Myers
I had an opportunity to attend this mornings application team meeting. The City has pulled a great core team together to lead our communities pursuit of the Google Fiber for Community Initiative.
Key Consensus Points:
- To Focus Application development around answering the questions: Why Google will be good for Greensboro? Why Greensboro is good for Google?
- The process needs to remain open and inclusive and the application process needs to be completed in a timely fashion so it can be released for public comment and input before it is submitted to Google.
- That we need to drive everyone to the Google Greensboro Hub and get as many people as possible in our city to fill out the Community “Bring Google to Greensboro” request form.
Noticeably missing from the meeting was coverage from any of our local print and broadcasting media.
